Like Finding A Tie In A Haystack. But They Did.

Tie o’ the Day is the result of courage. My nephew, Travis, and his wife, Collette, took up their fortitude, and searched for a tie I didn’t already own. Success! They gifted me Tie for X-mas. The Blackwelder’s are tough, brave, generous, adventurous folks. Travis doesn’t hold it against me (maybe he doesn’t remember) that when he was a kid, I called him Crapass. I pronounced it to rhyme with his name. Sometimes. I shouldn’t have done it. But it was funny, so I had to. 🤡

The Post-Christmas Tie Depletion

It’s a good thing I have my 2-year supply o’ ties. Every year after Christmas, tie racks everywhere become The Islands of Misfit Ties. The racks are nearly empty, and the remaining ties feel rejected cuz no one wanted them. I declare these to be Ties o’ the Day, so they can feel appreciated and worthy of their own existence. I was too late to save one. The tie on the floor gave up and jumped from its rack, to its untimely demise.
