It’s Funny, But It’s Serious Biz

I really am wearing Bow Tie o’ the Day. It presents rust, brown, and gold paisley-scatter. You can’t see that, but you can see we are in motion right now. Bow Tie and I be quick! Actually, this is a self-portrait photo of how I think I probably look when I’m on the manic side of my bipolarity pendulum. Sometimes even a bow tie can’t settle my head. But I’ve learned I have to poke fun at my precarious extremes, or I can’t manage their dangers.

Every Bow Tie Deserves To Be Worn

Bow Tie o’ the Day is one of my very few sad ties. The bow only has one bow-shaped side. And its strap inevitably comes unclasped right after I close it. I wear the tie occasionally for as long as I can stand its continual falling off, so it doesn’t feel neglected and lonesome. I’ve doctored Bow Tie, but the situation is terminal. There will soon come a day I have to put it out of its misery. I hope that day doesn’t come forever.
