Reflective Tape Bow Tie On The Run

We saw this swell signage while on our walk last night. It was love at first sight for us and the sign, especially for Bow Tie o’ the Day. There’s not a parking sign like this anywhere on our street, but we’ll correct that when we stick one by our curb. It all depends on how soon I can figure out a plan to successfully steal this sign without getting caught. It’s BYU that has the Honor Code, right? Oh good. As a Ute alum, I’m safe. 🅿️ 👮🏻‍♀️

It Ain’t St. Paddy’s Day Yet. So What!

Don’t you wake up from a nap sometimes and think, “I wanna wear my St. Patrick’s Day bow tie while I watch JUDGE JUDY at Judy o’clock.”? Of course, you do. Well, that’s exactly what I felt like doing. So I am. I wish Judge Judy could see Bow Tie o’ the Day. I think she’d be amused. Although she can’t partake of this grand sight, you can. Y’all are blessed to see this photo. 📺 😜 (And Bow Tie is bigly enough to make a dandy beard, too.)

Yup, Bi-planes On This Bow Tie

Sometimes when it’s chilly, Bow Tie o’ the Day and I need to toast our buns. That means eating hamburgers for breakfast. One of the benefits of having an empty nest is that you don’t have to set an example of healthy eating. You can eat what you want, when you want. Thus, I often eat ice cream for breakfast, or sometimes for all the day’s meals. Hint: Wear bow ties when scarfing down ice cream cones, cuz you might drip a drop on a regular tie. 🍦

Helen Sr. Is A Birthday Girl!

Tie o’ the Day and all the neckwear in our house are ecstatic to send birthday wishes, blessings, vibes, and cake to the divine Helen Sr.! The old gal turned 87 today. She is home in St. George, sittin’ on her deck, watching the sunny world. We wish we were there to party with her—if we could even keep up. We’ve learned Mom really needs only one good hip to keep her truckin’. 🚚 (I’ve posted this photo previously. These are her clothes that live with us, for when she visits.) 🎂 🍰

Anticipating Joe Is A Full-time Job

Bow Tie o’ the Day is as excited as I am for the new episode of HOMICIDE HUNTER. We adore Joe Kenda and his snarky comments, as he presents cases he solved during his cop career. The program isn’t on for about 35 hours, but we get so jacked up that we dress for viewing early. My, My, My! Also, we write criminal poetry in our Joe notebooks for a couple of days each week. The poems are criminal cuz poetry about homicide and Joe is pretty bad. 🖊 📓 📝

Ties Can Show Sympathy

Tie o’ the Day and my shirt sensed my apprehension when I  searched my sock drawer for reading glasses. I keep the glasses hidden, and I don’t wear them in front of anyone. It’s not a vanity issue. I love wearing my regular glasses. I know I could buy some funky reading glasses, or get glasses with bifocals. But I’m not giving in yet. So Tie and shirt are showing solidarity. They don’t know the glasses they sport don’t help my eyesight. (I especially like Tie’s 3-D offering.) 🤓 😎

Let The Games Begin!

Bow Ties o’ the Day want to play our little guessing game again. They had such fun inhabiting the fridge last week! The spot they chose to pile into this Sabbath day is our Igloo Ultra Gold 50 camping cooler. So make your guesses about how many bow ties you think can fit into a 50-quart container. Here’s a hint: More than 1. 😱

Spring General Conference For Ties

You’ve heard of sand art and chalk art. The Ties and Bow Ties o’ the Day got together to create a tie art flower. It’s a wee bit o’ Spring, before Fall and Winter lay temporary claim to the outdoor foliage. All ties in the floor flower are covered in flower designs. That proves it’s supposed to be a flower and not a sun. Any kind of art project I attempt results in general confusion, and occasional horror, for those who view the finished product. 🎨

Joshua Fought The Battle Of Book-icho

Bow Ties o’ The Day are hinting at something. I believe they think it’s time for me to get a roomier bookcase. Stand-alone? Built-in? I kinda like how this looks though. Having a bookcase that runneth over, makes me seem really, really intelligent. And I wanna see if I can make the book stacks reach the ceiling. They are so close to doing it. I’m pretty sure Bow Ties are just afraid there’s gonna be a book-alanche they’ll be caught in. But I’ll keep ’em safe. 🥊

Rain Is, As Rain Does

Aside from Marco Polo in the Deltassippi outdoor swimming pool, I’ve never played polo. I can’t ride a horse, and polo garb is hideous. But I do like the hats (helmets?), as Tie o’ the Day shows us. It’s rainy this morning, and I think a polo hat would be a perfect choice for venturing outside. I’ve become quite the hermit, and I hate going to the store anyway. To have to go there in the wet, cold world is just a kick in the skinny pants. 👖🤾‍♀️
