Two Cultural Icons Are Better Than One

The only thing better than a bow tie made of wood or a mustache made of whatever, is something that presents both icons on stage together. Bow Tie o’ the Day conquers that monumental task. It is a stupendously entertaining member of my collection. Hey, sorry you have to look up my nostrils, but this angle best showed off the old school, rotary phone Cufflinks o’ the Day. Note: Today, I picked up some zingy Rudolph ‘links for wearing with the ties o’ Christmas this year. 🦌 👔 🎄

The Ties And I Have An Office Products Fetish

Suzanne wanted chicken chowder crock potted. I threw in the ingredients and started it cooking, and double-checked the recipe. Everything was in the pot, including the half-and-half the recipe said not to add until the chowder is done. We might be eating chicken clabber instead of chicken chowder for dinner. I figured I should get some chore done right today, so I threw on Tie o’ the Day and have been organizing books and culling files. I ran out of paperclips and considered using my ‘Links. 🍲

Yay, Eagles! Next Year Belongs To The Seahawks!

Tie o’ the Day both clashes and matches Shirt o’ the Day. ‘Links are keeping us on the V-Day trail. Here’s a secret Suzanne will disown me for telling: One year, she forgot Valentine’s Day. And then the next month, she forgot my birthday. She wishes I’d forget those things happened. Suzanne is normally thoughtful, but she had been extremely busy at work. But still,….. She felt guilty down to the toes of her soul. So she bought me a car. Guilt is good! 😏 🚗

If Philly Wins The Championship, Ties Will Cheer

Together, Bow Tie o’ the Day and Tie o’ the Day are announcing that we’re watching Puppy Bowl XIV instead of Super Bowl LII. Bow Tie makes it clear we’re Seahawks fans, and Tie tells you we enjoy watching dogs and balls much more than we thrill on seeing the Patriots do any dang thing. Philly is the underdog, so we’ll root for them, even though we don’t care. My nephew, Travis, has been Philly-istic his entire life. He deserves to finally win a Super Bowl. 🏈 🏆

I’ll Have Ron Give Her A Healing Tie

Tie o’ the Day and I know the only reason some of you read these posts is for updates about Mom. That’s a dandy reason. Mom’s uniform is here to update you. (She keeps keeps a nightgown at all her children’s houses, in case there’s a sleepover in the works.) After Mom spent last Monday at ER in Ogden with a horrible cough, she’s now in the hospital in St. George, where she says SH*T sometimes after she coughs. She shouldn’t say that in Marie’s presence. 🤒 😱

Flower Power Meets Tie Power

Tie o’ the Day’s showing some mod, pink flowers to inspire a Valentine-y mood. This morning’s post was about my hankering to change-up a thing or two today. I can do big political protests; big relocations; big personal changes; big etc… I can also do mini versions of attempting out-o’-the-ordinary acts. So what did I do to demonstrate my restless rebellion? I refused to wear a bra!!! Ladies, you know what a vacation that is! Ah, freedom. Makes me wanna weep with comfort. ✌️ 😭

Responsibility Is Good, But You Gotta Get Away

Tie o’ the Day has a cause. Did you ever get out of bed feeling like you must step out of your routine? Enough of the same old, same old. You feel like you’ve gotta stretch your boundaries; abandon the status quo; rebel against something. It doesn’t have to be big, but it has to be DIFFERENT. You simply desire to break out of the usual-to-do-list box you’ve built around yourself. I’m wearing this tie as a sign of warning: Get out o’ my way today!

Ties Spread The Love And The Fur

Tie o’ the Day is the first Valentine’s tie of this month. Don’t fret: I don’t have as many V-Day ties as X-mas ties. The red hearts and lips on these bears’ “clothing” make my day. I’ll even use the word CUTE to describe the loving beasts. And I abhor the word CUTE. But I gotta call ’em as I see ’em. And I’m decked out in Cufflinks o’ the Day for Fish Friday. Fishsticks were my fave school lunch entrée. I outgrew them, thanks. 🍣

Beauty Is In The Bird Bow Tie

Gorgeous Bow Tie o’ the Day was created with authentic peacock feathers; therefore, it is the most expensive tie in my collection. Suzanne must never find out its price. In fact, my tie collection is the sole reason we have separate bank accounts. If she only knew. I’m sure she knows, but all couples do that thing where you know what your spouse is up to, but you both agree to pretend you don’t. (Cufflinks are a bottle opener and a bottle cap.) 🍼 🎓

The Two Clash Fashion Food Groups: Paisley And Polka Dots

Tie o’ the Day is another tie Suzanne got me for X-mas this year. Shirt o’ the Day is a X-mas present from her also. This photo shows I woke up from my nap on the paisley side o’ the bed. If I had to choose only one print design for any type of clothing or accessory, it would undoubtedly be paisley. Paisles (as I refer to them) look like commas/quotation marks/apostrophes on LSD. Paisles also resemble caterpillars, but that comparison is not as edgy. 😸
