Cast o’ Words

anyhoo     A variation on “anyhow”. I use this ironically, as my go-to transition word. It is such a vaudeville-esque “word”. So old and corny. You can just hear Milton Berle and The Catskills in it.

ASAIL     Short for As Soon As I Light.

bigly     Do I really have to explain how ironic AND sarcastic this one is?

‘fit     Short for the word “outfit”.

Hair Duty     Every Thursday (for decades!) Mom gets her hair did. Since she gave up her car keys in the summer of 2016, she uses a chauffeur to get her to and from her appointment. If I’m in Deltassippi, I drive her. If I’m not in town, Gary takes care of her.

Judy o’ clock     Judge Judy starts at 3 PM on weekdays. Do not bug me between 3 and 4.

o’     I use this wee term ironically. Think of those grocery store ads, like “SPECIAL O’ THE DAY” or “BARGAIN O’ THE SEASON”. How difficult is it to add the “f”? Does it cost more to add it to your little sign? Does it take too much time to add it? I must admit that, for me, tblogging it makes me sound Irish, if only in my own head.

tblog     This is my shortened word for TIE BLOG. The word is incredibly difficult to pronounce. Thus, I like it.

tlog     This is my condensed word for TIE LOG, which refers to the original platform for Tie o’ the Day–which was texts. Also tough to pronounce. Thus, I like it.

TTMIT     Short for Terribly Tender Moment In Time.
